Storage Tank Management
In 2009, Patriot Environmental Management was retained to remove eight (8) aboveground storage tanks (AST) at a Major Oil Storage Facility (MOSF) located in New York. Patriot conducted soil screening and sampling within the footprints of the former ASTs. Laboratory analytical results of the soil samples revealed several volatile organic compound (VOC) and semi-volatile organic compound (SVOC) target analytes at concentrations that exceed their applicable NYDEC Recommended Soil Cleanup Objective (RSCO).
In 2009, Patriot Environmental Management provided oversight for remedial activities in select areas within the footprint of the former ASTs. Patriot supervised excavation of the impacted soil and conducted sampling from three wells to identify whether or not the groundwater was impacted.
Based on the laboratory results of post excavation soil samples and groundwater samples, no further remedial activity was warranted and formal closure of the ASTs was granted. Patriot Environmental Management prepared and submitted all documentation of this work, including all AST closure reports.
Patriot Environmental Management was selected to manage the project based upon our ability to provide turn-key contracting services. The project was completed efficiently in under a two year time period and within budget.
